Chaitra Navratri ~ New Samvatsar (2068)


"Vasant Navratri" is also known as "Ram Navratri" comes in the hindu month of Chaitra (March - April). Chaitra Navratri, is the nine day Anushthan. During these nine days Goddess Durga, Goddess Lakshmi and Goddess Sarawati are worshiped with great devotion. Chaitra Navratri begins on Monday, April 4 2011 and ends with Sri Rama Navami on Tuesday, April 12 2011. Hindu calender changes from this time onwards, ie; Chaitra Shukla Paksh Starting from 4th April Monday. This festival marks the beginning of "Vasant Ritu". Anushthan of "Ramayan" is done during these nine auspicious days, in the shortage of time one can read the "Kaag Bhusundi Ramayan" or just "Ek Shloki Ramayan".
