Lagna Chart & Bhava Chalit Chart

Lagna Chart & Bhava Chalit Chart

Lagna Chart assumes that all the houses are equal to 30 degrees in length. While calculating the positions of ascendant and other planets, we just take the modulo of the degree by 30 and assign the houses. In Bhava Chart, the mid point of a house, i.e. the bhava madhya, is given a lot of importance. The influence of a house is calculated based on this bhava madhya.

Normally, Bhava Chalit Chart and Lagna Chart would agree with each other. However, if the Ascendant or planets’ degree is closer to multiple of 30, there may be differences between the charts. It is always interesting to see if a planet has moved from one house to another house from Lagna Chart to Bhava Chalit Chart. This explains a lot of times why a yoga that is so obvious in Lagna Chart does not fructify in real life.

In Lagna Chart we see sign and aspects a planet will have, in Bhava Chalit Chart we see houses. So, Planets in 1st and 10th house in Lagna Chart getting shifted in the previous 12th and 9th house will be in 12th and 9th house but in the signs of 1th and 5th house and its aspects. Example. Saturn in 10th house in cancer in Lagna Chart getting shifted in previous 9th house will be in 9th but in cancer sign and its aspect will be 12,4,7th houses.

Bhav Chalit Chart is used for predicting the house results. Signs in Lagna Chart are used for transit analysis and for tallying divisional chart. The aspects of planets on other planets are always studied from Lagna Chart. Similarly exaltation/debilitation of planets is again studied only from the Lagna Chart.

Bhakoot Dosh

Bhakoot Dosh

Bhakoot suggests the pair will have capability of achieving good health, mutual agreement, happiness, longevity and prosperity to live a happy life together. It is calculated by determining the position of bride/grooms Moon Sign from grooms/bride Moon Sign. Bhakoot controls the mind.

In our Astrology the Moon is related to or has a direct relationship with mind, i.e. Mental soundness. So Bhakoot represents the following qualities or Traits. Mental Soundness, Life of Children, Economic Conditions or Status, Marital Bond or Attachments.

Rashis are controlled by Chandra, they affect the love and romance aspect of the marriage. Bhakoot dosha occurs when the Rashis conflict or are oppossed. Due to this dosha, either or both would not display emotions of love or romance towards the other. One or both will be left with the yearning of being loved. This can affect chances for fertility and pregnancy, cause troublesome pregnancies and delay in having children and limit the number of kids they can have. So when it comes to 0 (zero) generally astrologers will advice against the marriage.

The malefic effects are however, are reduced or ignored in the following cases:
(i) If moon sign lords are friends.
(ii) If Moon sign lords are same.

Vikram Samvat 2067~ Vedic New Year for India

Vikram Samvat 2067 ~Vedic New Year for India--An Astrological Analysis

The first day in Shukla Paksha or bright half of Chaitra month is observed as Nav Varsh or Hindu New Year in North India. This festival marks the beginning of Chaitra Navratri, Marathi New Year Gudi Padwa, Kannada and Telugu New Year Ugadi, and Sindhi New Year Cheti Chand.

The vedic new year commences on Tuesday, March 16, 2010. It would start at 2.31am on Monday night under poorva bhadrapad nakshatra in Sagittarius ascendant. Chaitra Maas Shukla paksha also starts from tomorrow. As per the traditional Vikram Samvat calendar, it is Vikram Samvar 2067 year.

As for Vedic Panchanga in 2010 following planet will rule over different aspects of life :

§ King--Mars
§ Minister--Buddha
§ Agriculture--Saturn
§ Food and Finance Ministry--Jupiter
§ Defence and Fruits--Moon
§ Rains--Venus
§ Juices--Sun

On this new year lagna is Sagittarius with debilitated Rahu. Lagna lord Jupiter is in the third house in Aquarius. Moon in Pisces with Sun, Mercury and Venus. Ketu is in 7th debilitated in Gemini. Mars is debilitated in the 8th house. Saturn retro in Virgo. The rising lagna Saigittarius is in eighth house from Indian Independence chart lagna Taurus. Mars has been declared as king and Mercury as Minister for this new Samvat 2067 indicates global development, particularly of developing countries, despite terrorist activities. The grouping of planets indicate rise in violence, fire, accidents, earthquakes, terrorist attacks, war-like situations, communal tensions and war exercises in border areas. Mars rulership as king is not a sign of peace for this year.

Mercury as minister, will bring mixed results in different fields business, marketing, trade, transport, air and communications because Mars and Mercury are not compatible with each other. Jupiter is bound to boost up agriculture and religious activities in the country. Along with this there will find differences and conflicts among leaders, courts and judgments, besides bringing difficulties for the masses in terms of diseases, calamities, and political upheavals.

However, India will progress and emerge as strong nation. Mars being fiery and a fighter India will attain more prominence on the world scene.

Mangal Dosha, Mars Dosha, Kuja Dosha, Chevvai Dosham, Manglik Dosha, Chovva Dosham in Vedic Astrology

Mangal Dosha, Mars Dosha, Kuja Dosha, Manglik Dosha, Chevvai Dosham, Chovva Dosham in Vedic Astrology

Mangalik dosha is caused by Mars being 1, 2, 4, 7, 8, or 12 house from Lagna or Moon or Venus. The Lagna represents physical body, the Moon represents Mind and Venus represents sexual relationship in the context of assessing marital bliss in a horoscope. Therefore, the houses mentioned have to be reckoned with reference to all the three viz. lagna, Moon, and Venus. The dosha is considered to be weak when it exists only from the lagna, a little stronger if it exists from the Moon, and still more powerful from Venus.

Mars is a cruel planet astrologically. Mars is a natural significator of Courage, Aggression, Violence, Property, Coborns to name a few. In terms of Marriage it acquires supreme importance as here it signifies Passion, the Husband, the Marital Knot, sex, etc. Moreover, the role of Mars in the generation of progeny cannot be underestimated.

Exceptions to Mangal Dosha

Mangal Dosha gets cancelled in some special conditions as defined below:

1. When Mars is in its own sign Aries, Scorpio, Capricorn or in the houses owned by planets supposed to be his friends (Sun, Jupiter, Moon)
2. If Mars is in the 2nd house but in Gemini, Virgo
3. If Mars is in 12th house but in Taurus, Libra
4. If Mars is in 7th house but in Cancer,
5. If Mars is in 8th house but in Sagittarius, Pisces
6. For Cancer and Leo ascendant Mars is a yogakaraka wherever it may be no dosha at all.
7. For Aquarius ascendant Mars in the 4th/8th house then the manglik dosha gets cancelled.
8. If benefic Jupiter or Venus is in ascendant
9. If Mars is in conjunction or aspected by Jupiter or Moon
10. If Mars is in conjunction/aspected by Sun, Mercury, Saturn,

11. if Saturn aspects the houses owned by Mars
12. If Mars is in conjunction with Jupiter (Guru) or Sun (Suryan) or Sani

Remedies of Mars Dosha/Manglik Dosha/Chevvai Dosha
As per the Ancient Indian Astrology Kuja Dosham is considered an important aspect in marriage match making and compatibility. There is no hundred percentage cure for Kuja Dosha but to reduce the ill effects of kuja dosha in marriage people follow some ceremony called a kumbh vivah. Traditionally, best remedy for Kuja Dosha is to marry another "Manglik" (mangalik bride to marry mangalik groom).
