Diwali ~ Festival of Lights (Diwali special Yantra and Lockets)

Diwali ~ Festival of Lights

Diwali is known as the 'festival of lights' comes exactly 20 days after Dussehra on Amavas (new moon), during the dark fortnight of Kartik some time in October or November. According to Hindu religious scriptures On this day, Lord Ram returned to his Kingdom Ayodhya after the exile of fourteen years (vanvaas) imposed by his stepmother Kaikeyi in jealousy, because Ram would become the king and not her own son Bharat. During this period he put an end to the demon Ravana of Lanka, who was a great Pundit, highly learned but still evil dominated his mind. After this victory of Good over Evil, Rama returned to Ayodhya. In Ayodhya, the people welcomed them by lighting rows of clay lamps. So, it is an occasion in honor of Rama's victory over Ravana.

Five Days of Diwali

Diwali is a festival of lights and is celebrated with great enthusiasm. The uniqueness of this festival is its harmony of five varied philosophies, with each day to a special thought or ideal. If people celebrate each of its five days of festivities with true understanding, it will uplift and enrich their lives.

The first day of Diwali--Dhanteras :

Diwali starts with the 13th lunar day of Krishna Paksh called Dhanvantari Triodasi or Dhanwantari Triodasi also called Dhanteras. On this day, Lord Dhanwantari came out of the ocean with Ayurvedic for mankind. On this day at sunset, Hindus should bathe and offer a lighted deeya with Prasad to Yama Raj (the Lord of Death) and pray for protection from untimely death. Dhanteras holds a lot more significance for the business community. Dhanteras will be celebrated on 3rd of November in 2010.

The second day of Diwali--Choti Diwali :

Second day of Diwali is called Narak Chaturdasi or Choti Diwali. On this day Lord Krishna destroyed the demon Narakasur and made the world free from fear. Choti Diwali will be celebrated on 4th of November in 2010.

The third day of Diwali--Lakshmi Puja on Diwali :

The third day of Diwali is the actual Diwali. It is believed that Goddess Laxmi visit everyone during Diwali and brings peace and prosperity to all.Diwali will be celebrated on 5th of November in 2010.

The fourth day of Diwali--Padwa & Govardhan Puja :

On this day, Govardhan Pooja is performed. On this day Lord Krishna caused the people of Brij to perform Govardhan Pooja. This day is also observed as Annakoot meaning mountain of food. People cook fifty-six or 108 different types of food for the bhog (the offering of food) to Krishna. Govardhan Pooja will be performed on 6th of November in 2010.

The fifth day of Diwali--Bhai Dauj :

The fifth day of the Diwali is called Bhratri Dauj. This is the day after Goverdhan Pooja is performed and normally two days after Diwali day. It is a day dedicated to sisters. On this day Yama (Lord of death) visited his sister Yamuna. He gave his sister a Vardhan (a boon) that whosoever visits her on this day shall be liberated from all sins. They will achieve Moksha or final emancipation. From then on, brothers visit their sisters on this day to enquire of their welfare. Bhai Duj will be celebrated on 7th of November in 2010.

Ganesh-Lakshmi Puja

Ganeshji is a must for Diwali pooja as he is to be worshiped in all pujas before any other god or goddess. Lakshmi Puja consists of a combined puja of five deities: Ganesha is worshiped at the beginning of every auspicious act as Vighnaharta; Goddess Lakshmi is worshiped in her three forms - Mahalakshmi (the goddess of wealth and money), Mahasaraswati (the goddess of books and learning), and Mahakali; Kuber (the treasurer of the gods) is also worshiped. Traditionally on Diwali night, Ganesh shares the altar with Lakshmi. During puja, the idol of goddess Lakshmi is placed on the left and Lord Ganesha, the elephant headed god is kept on the right. Shree Ganesh is the god of good beginnings and the fabled remover of obstacles. Lakshmi is the goddess of wealth and prosperity and also personifies beauty, grace, and charm. She is normally depicted seated on a lotus with gold coins. On Diwali when both is placed side by side, Lakshmi Ganesh hold out promise of a year of fulfillment.

India Will Win Todays Cricket Match with Australia : 11 October 2010

Yesterday one of my Friend asked me regarding cricket match b/w India and Australia and he gave me no. 5 in favour of India

that time I was analysing chart for Karnataka CM
for predicting cricket match I used jupiter benefic points for Virgo month
and I have found the lagna with no. 5 and found Lagna of india got 6 points along with equal points to 6th and 11th house while lagna of Australia have got 3 points alongwith 3 points to 6th and 4 points to 11th house..as for India Jupiter is giving more benefic points so India to win Cricket Match Aussi to lose according to me.

Karnataka CM Mr.Yedyurappa will win trust motion ~ An Astrological Analysis

Karnataka CM Mr.Yedyurappa will win trust motion and save his govt.

if check astrologically with jupiter benefic points for Virgo month Karnataka CM lagna has 6 points while opposition lagna has only 3 points. lagna lord is placed in 2nd house while opposition lagna lord is placed in 8th house this position not favourable for opposition. Karnataka CM 10th house has 5 point while 11th house has 6 points, 6th house is also strong with 6 points favouring Karnataka CM to win trust motion. Now check oposition 10th house has 6 pints which is good but 11th house has only 4 points not going to give success to opposition moreover opposition 6th house has only 3 points.

So astrologically Karnataka CM Mr.Yedyurappa will be able to win trust motion.

Significance of 10.10.10 ~ The luckiest day in a 100 years

Today is 10th October 2010, a day that holds a combination of numbers 10/10/10, a triangulation of three numbers that are in perfect balance. The number ten is regarded as the most perfect of numbers, because it contains the Unit that did it all and the zero, symbol of the matter and the Chaos, of which all came out; it then includes in its figure the created and the non-created, the beginning and the end, the power and the force, the life and the nothing. We may start a new cycle, beginning once again with One. It is possible we may continue our endeavor and raise the One to the relative perfection of the Ten, learning lessons of a higher order. In either case, we can find everything between nothing (0) and something (1). 10 number contains number one of Planet Sun and on Sunday, the date is 10 which has two numbers 1 and 0. Thus, it will be good for everyone. It is a ‘powerful moment of rebirth.’ The unique alignment of 10/10/2010 in the calender on Sunday will bring good luck to the country and its countrymen.

Ten is the number for wisdom, because it contains the essence of all the numbers from one to nine within it and when we add the number one, which features three times in date, is all about focus, new direction, raw energy and rebirth. At the Mayas culture number 10 represents the end of a cycle and the beginning of another. The ten was regarded as being the number of the life and the death. In China, the cross represents the number 10 as the totality of the numbers. This balance of numbers: 10/10/10 is a symbol which indicates that success comes when we strive for a balanced outcome in every aspect of life. It's a unique alignment which is favourable for the country ensuring despite anti conditions the nation will progress.

Navratra ~ The Auspicious Nine days

‘NAVSHAKTIBHI SANYUKT NAVRATRATDUCHAYATE’
Navratra is a period when nine shakti (power) combine together into one and become Mahashakti (superpower).

The Navratra commences on the first day of the bright fortnight of the lunar month of Ashwini. Navratra means Nine Nights which are dedicated to Maa Durga. On this occasion, devotees worship all nine forms of Goddess Durga. The festival is celebrated for nine nights once every year during the beginning of October, although as the dates of the festival are determined according to the lunar calendar, the festival may be held for a day more or a day less. Bhajan, Kirtan, Jagran, adorning the house, feasting and fasting take precedence over all normal daily activities in these nine days amongst the Hindus.

In Samvat 2067, year 2010, Shaaradiya Navratra will start from Friday sunrise. From 11:45 am to 12:33 pm, there is Abhijit Mahurat. Those who start Navratri during this time will be blessed with prosperity and success. The auspicious Chaugharia will start from 12:08 pm and Rahu-Kaal will also be finished by then. Shubh Chaugharia is believed best to establish Kalash in temples. It will finish on October 16, 2010 on Mahanavami.

Navratra is a sacred festival solely devoted to the divine form of Maa Shakti. Hindus invoke JAGDAMBA ‘Mother of the Universe’ during these days and take her blessings. She symbolizes a woman in all its forms. She is “Adishakti” who represents woman’s energy, She is “Annpurna” who feeds the universe, She is “Virtuous” who grants all wishes of devotees. She is Trigunatamaka--Mahalaxmi (Goddess of wealth) represents power of wealth and prosperity, Mahasaraswati (Goddess of wisdom) represents power of wisdom, Mahakali (Goddess of valour) represents will power that helps to win over own negativity and wickedness.

There are four Navratra's in one Samvatsar in India. Navratra in Ashad and Magh months are called Secret Navratra (Gupt Navratris). Tantriks perform tantric sadhanas at secret places in these navratra. Chitra Navratra is ‘Vasantic Navratra’ and Ashwin Navratra is ‘Sharadiya Navratra’. Navratra is the time when change in season takes place. According to Ayurveda this is the time when body is purified. Extra vaat, pitt and cough in the body is destroyed.

‘Shardiya Navratra’ takes precedence on all the Navaratras that is why they are called annual Navratra's. During these days Mahapooja is organized. In ‘Chiatra Navratra’ Ramnavami is celebrated, while in ‘Ashwini navratra’ Shri Durga Navami is celebrated. Goddess’s energy is manifested during these nine days, that is the reason worship of Durga has special significance. During this nine night long festival of Navratra, nine different forms of Maa Durga signifying power, wealth, prosperity and knowledge are worshipped. Each day is dedicated to different aspect of divine almighty. The nine shaktis which are invoked during Navratras are--

(1) Shailputri
Maa Shailputri is the daughter of Himalaya and first among the nine aspects of Maa Durga. Mounting on a bull, Maa Shailputri holds a trishul in the right hand and a flower in the left hand. Maa Shailputri’s glories are endless.

(2) Brahmcharini
"Brahma" means "Tapa". Maa Brahmacharini is the second form of Navdurga and is worshipped on the second day of Navratra. Maa Brahmacharini practices Tapa and is very gorgeous giving the message of love to the whole world. She holds a rosary (mala) in her right hand and Kamandal in left hand. The goddess is full with merriment.

(3) Chanraghanta
Maa Chandraghanta is the third manifestation of Maa Durga. She is always in a gesture as if prepared for fighting. Her roaring voice makes all Danava, Daitya and Rakshasas tremble. The Goddess establishes justice by saving her devotees from all kinds of danger. This form of Navdurga is known as Chandraghanta as there is a half-circular moon in her forehead. This face of Maa Durga is very charming and bright. She possesses three eyes and ten hands holding ten different types of swords, weapons and arrows etc and mounts on a Lion.

(4) Kushmanda
Maa Kushmanda, the fourth aspect of Navdurga is adored on the fourth day of Navratri. Maa Kushmanda represents the source of providing basic necessities to the whole world. This form of Durga is said to be the creator of the universe and resides in the innermost core of the earth. She has eight hands which hold seven types of weapons in seven hands and a rosary in her right hand. She seems brilliant riding on a Lion.

She holds her son, "Skanda" in her lap while displaying three eyes and four hands; two hands hold lotus while the other two hands respectively display defending and granting gestures.

(6) Katyayani
On sixth day of Navratri, the sixth form of Maa Durga known as Maa Katyayani is worshipped. It is believed that Maa Katyayani persistently battles against the evil and deceitful entities. She has three eyes and four arms. One left hand holds a weapon and the other a lotus. The other two hands respectively display defending and granting gestures. Her mount is a lion.

(7) Kalratri
Maa Kaalratri is the seventh form of Navdurga. Maa Kaalratri is also known as Maha Kaali. Kalaratri is the one of the fiercest forms of Maa Durga and her appearance itself evokes fear. She holds a drum and a trishul and is often depicted riding a bull. Durga Ashtami Puja is also held on this day in many parts of the country.

Navdurga’s ninth aspect is Maa Siddhidatri. Maa Siddhidatri showers knowledge over all her devotees making their soul pure. The Goddess drives on Lion. She has four hands and looks are very pleasing. The day is also observed as Mahanavami in many parts of the world.

MAA DURGA not only manifests power required to destroy devilish tendencies in all of us, she also manifests vital force of energy required for life. She is not only a nurturing factor which takes care of all her children like Mother. She is an epitome of Shakti who kills all the demonic forces whether visible or invisible, and thus brings balance & harmony which is required for regulation & mobilization of the universe.

If one worships mother of entire unverise goddess Durga with selflessness and devotion and recite Durga Saptashati once throughout these nine days, all of his/her problems get resolved certainly and life becomes blessed with divinity. The way we worship Maa Durga, we should similarly worship our mother too, only then it will be called a true worship.
