What is Yantra ???

Yantra is the Sanskrit word for "instrument" or "machine". In vedic astrology yantra means symbols or geometric figures. A Yantra is essentially a diagram representing a Mantra or Chant which is used to achieve a specific objective. An Energized Yantra acts like a Machine to amplify the power of the mantras. Yantras carry spiritual significance and point the user to higher levels of consciousness. The Yantra provides a focal point that is a window into the absolute. In the most advanced phases, it is possible to attain union with God by the geometric visualization of a Yantra. A Yantra alone represents nothing only when it is awakened by mental concentration and meditation will the process of Resonance appear and the benefic macrocosmic energies will manifest themselves in the practitioner's Microcosm.

Yantras are created from various materials ranging from copper, silver, gold, bhojpatra and are even available in three dimensional form. The core of the Yantras is composed of one or several simple geometrical shapes like : dots, lines, triangles, squares, circles, swastika and lotuses etc. representing in different ways the subtle energies. For example the Dot signifies the focalized energy and its intense concentration. The Triangle is the symbol of Shakti, the feminine energy or aspect of Creation. The Six Points Star also known as David's Star. This form symbolically represents the union of Purusha and Prakriti or Shiva-Shakti, without which there could be no creation. Circle represent the rotation, in the series of the five fundamental elements it represents air. The Square is usually the exterior limit of the Yantra and symbolically, it represents the element earth. Swastika represents good luck, welfare, prosperity or spiritual victory.

Bija mantras usually represented as characters of Devanāgarī that correspond to the acoustic roots of a particular chakra or vritti. Sometimes we encounter other elements such as arrow points, tridents, swords, spikes included in the design of a Yantra with the purpose of representing vectors and directions of action for the Yantric energies. These yantras are often made on a particular date and time according to procedures defined in the vedas.

The intersection of two geometric forms represents forces that are even more intense than those generated by the simple forms. Such an interpenetration indicates a high level in the dynamic interaction of the correspondent energies. The empty spaces generated by such combinations are described as very efficient operational fields of the forces emanating from the centeral point of the Yantra. That is why we can very often encounter representations of Mantras in such spaces. Yantra and Mantra are complementary aspects of SHIVA and their use together is much more efficient than the use of one alone. At the basis of Yantra operation is something called "shape energy" or "form energy". In Yantra only the benefic and harmonious energies are used.

Yantras are also used for more mundane purposes to enhance the quality of life, to attract prosperity and abundance, even love, to heal and relieve health problems, to protect oneself from negative forces etc. Yantra is a very complex spiritual instrument in the tantric practice or Sadhana. It can calm and focus the activities of the mind and by its positive auto-suggestion it has a benefic impact on the health and psychic well being of a person.

Mantra with respective Yantra will bring more effective results. In ancient texts, Lord Shiva is supposed to have explained the mystical meaning of the Yantra to his consort, Goddess Parvati: "The Yantra is as essential to a god as oil is to the oil lamp or as a body is to a living human being". The Yantra is actually more powerful than a picture of a God which, to be energized, requires a Yantra to be affixed at its base or back. A Yantra always contains a Mantra associated with it. Just as the mind is a part of, yet different from the body, so is the Mantra from the Yantra. The Mantra is the mind consciousness while the Yantra is the form of the deity.

Mrityu Shadashtak Yoga

It is not Mritu Shadashtak Yoga. It is just Shadashtaka. It is the Rashi sign compatibility which takes into account the Moon signs of the two individuals. Generally this is used in marriage compatibility and some times also to with reference to the suitability of partnership. In a marriage chart the rashi sign compatibility indicates growth of family, family welfare and economic conditions of the partner.

When Moon of one person goes 6th or 8th house from the moon of other person, it is regarded as 'Shadashtak'. This generally indicate some frictions and difference of opinion between the couple and doesn't necessarily mean death. In astrology, it is believed that planets posited in 6th/8th to each other do not give good relationship. 6th house is house of sickness, debt and animosity while 8th house shows losses, injuries etc. Thus this 'Shadashtak' is a bad combination. It may bring disharmony between the spouse. there can be tension in the married life due to ego problem.

The negative effects of this yoga are reduced or ignored if moon sign lords are friends or if Moon sign lords are same. In the given example chart Female moonsign is Pisces and Male moonsign is Leo. Rashis of male and female in compatibility analysis are 6 - 8 with respective to each other causing Shadashtak. This shows difference of opinion, tension in the married life. But lords of the rashis are natural friends so no major problem indicating.

Atmakaraka dasha

Atmakaraka dasha

The Atmakaraka planet is the master of the chart and always presents life’s greatest lessons. The natural Atmakaraka is the Sun. The Atmakaraka of this article is the chara Atmakaraka. Chara Atmakaraka is also known as personal Atmakaraka which guides the soul towards GOD. The planet that has the highest degree in any sign is considered the Chara Atmakaraka. According to Sanjay Rath, the mahadasha of the Atmakaraka is difficult and a challenging one.

Atmakaraka's dasha would not be good - there would be suffering to purify the soul. Atmakaraka teaches us through painful experiences because it is supposed to clean our souls- difficult on mundane level but beneficial on spiritual and in terms of growth. Malefic planet as Atmakaraka indicates a high level of spiritual development whereas a benefic planet as the Atmakaraka indicates a relatively lower level. A Malefic Atmakaraka invariably indicates suffering during its Vimsottari dasa. During the Narayana dasa of the sign occupied by the Atmakaraka or those aspecting it, great achievements are made. If the native is spiritually inclined then the dasa of the Atmakaraka can be beneficial. A retrograde Atmakaraka indicates a deep-rooted desire as being the cause of the birth. Combustion of Atmakaraka gives spiritual insight.

Mahadasha of Atmakaraka will be problematic only if Atmakaraka is afflicted. In the given example chart Venus is the Atmakaraka having the highest degree in Taurus. Venus is the karaka for marriage/spouse/marital happiness. Venus in 11th house with 7th and 5th lord. Venus is afflicted by malefics and the native is suffereing in the area of marriage.

Pitru Dosha~ Is the Curse of Ancestors ?

A Pitru Dosha is a Karmic Debt of the ancestors, which the person, having Pitru Dosha in his horoscope is supposed to pay.
